Signs and Symbols

I accually never thought about the sings and symbols, I knew that the words were things that some people made and that they didnt mean anything. They are just words that represent something, so that people can know what we are talking aboout. I did know this I accually never thought about it until now.

"On Line Security"

Yesturday I learned that even when you get something that pops on your computer saying that I have won a million dollars that can bring viruses in my computer and mess it up. The best way to prevent from getting those viruses is to press the "x" on the top instead of pressing anything else for example ignore or remind me later, because only that can download many viruses and mess up the computer.

Tone and mood of "Earth on Turtle's Back"

I think that the tone of this story is how the earth was created on the turtles back, and that the mood is how the animals and the human were able to work together. The expository is how it all started from the dream she had. She told it to her husband the chief, and he said that it was a strong dream that they had to do something about it. He had the workers try to pull out the tree but they weren't able to so he did it himself. The lady was peeking down from the top of the branches, and as fell into the whole of water she was only able to grab some seeds. There every animal tried to help her by diving deep into the water to get a piece of the earth for her to live and be safe. Out of all of them the muskrat was the only one that sacrificed the most and achieved it. Then the turtle volunteered to grow earth on its back, there the lady was able to plant the seeds that she grabbed. Right then earth was able to grow, making it a safe environment for her.

Assignment 1

This year this class started out awesome. At first my teacher seemed to be a little CURMUDGEON, but he really isn't. I did not feel nervous but I was expecting us to work different meaning with books and so much writing. I also liked the class because no one seems to be ASCETIC, instead everybody talks to each other in a good way. Even though one can wear a BAUBLE no one looks at you like you're different.  It feels good to turn back and know that most of us can converse with each other and agree on something. Mr. Preston and his helper gave us a DIDACTIC lesson about the blogs. I was able to create the blog in a BURGEON way. The thing that I also like about my teacher is that he will COMPLIMENT us whenever we do something valuable. In the future I know that I will not do something ADUMBRATE that will get me a F for the semester. I won't be expecting myself, teacher, and classmates to turn CONTUMACIOUS through out the school year, I hope for the best and that everybody has fun.

Socratic seminar

The purpose of arguing is to find the truth, or to get closer to the truth. The conversation that we had in class today was pretty interesting. We all had many different point of views on why people argue and and the way people think about having their right to their opinions. I personally think that people argue because they don't agree on something or just because they are to proud that they can't admit that they are wrong. Sometimes it's also because some people don't know how to talk to the other people, in the way that they can be mean or they just don't care about what others think or have to say.

Reflections on Week 1

1) The only thing that might effect my grade in this class is the access to a computer. Usually I use my friend's but not often. I honestly don't like asking her every day, it will bug her and make her feel uncomfortable, just the exact same way that I will feel. I would also go to the career center and do it there, but Im not able to finish it all in with the one hour that I have. I really hope I get internet soon.

2) The greatest learning experience I've ever had is in this class. It made me learn how to create my own blog and how to use it, even though it was very confusing and frustrating. I am also starting to get used to doing my homework here. It kind of changed me in a way that I'm on the computer about everyday now, which is something that I'm not used to. The people around me in this class are nice and seem to be very helpful which is good so that I can get help from them when I'm confused.

3)This class up to now is very fun and interesting therefore I'm really exited to learn may new great things. Thinking about it it's not that hard to pass I just have to go on the blog and do my homework there, everything that we have done is really normal work but in a way better. What I am really looking forward to in this class is to learn differently but in a fun way. I think it can make a difference in my life in the way that I am letting people read all my thoughts, which is something I am not used to doing.
